Blockchain Enhanced Construction Waste Information Management: A Conceptual Framework

چکیده
Despite the large quantities of secondary materials flowing within built environment, their actual volume and respective waste management processes are not accurately known recorded. Consequently, various sustainability material efficiency policies supported by accurate data information-reporting associated with materials’ availability sourcing. Many recent studies have shown that integration digital technologies such as city information (CIM), building modeling (BIM), blockchain potential to enhance construction (CWM) classifying recycled creating value from waste. However, there is insufficient guidance address challenges during process CWM. Therefore, research reported in this paper aims develop a blockchain-enhanced conceptual framework (BeCW). This first attempt apply strengths integrated information-management optimize CWM, which includes WasteChain for providing unified trustworthy credit system evaluating construction-waste-recyclability stakeholders. enabled through use self-executing smart contracts clarify responsibility ownership relevant As result, study provides explicit referencing quantifies value-contribution stakeholders waste-recovery optimization reuse recycling. It also addresses issue sustainable CWM exchange at four levels: user, application, service, infrastructure levels.

A framework for understanding waste management studies in construction.
During the past decades, construction and demolition (C&D) waste issues have received increasing attention from both practitioners and researchers around the world. A plethora of research relating to C&D waste management (WM) has been published in scholarly journals. However, a comprehensive understanding of the C&D WM research is somehow absent in spite of its proliferation. The aim of this pa...

a r t i c l e i n f o At present, there are insufficient design decision making tools to support effective construction waste minimisation evaluation and implementation throughout all design stages. A limited but growing body of recent literature suggests that building information modelling has the potential to assist architects to minimise design waste on their projects. The research reported ...
متن کاملA Conceptual Framework for Agent-Based Information Resource Management
The information systems manager is often constrained by maintaining a certain threshold amount of memory for an organization. However, this requires more than technical and managerial resolutions, encompassing knowledge management for the group, eliciting tacit knowledge from the end users, and pattern and time series analyses of utilization for various applications. This paper proposes a frame...

Background and purpose: In a recent century, the amount of construction waste has increased significantly. Although the building industry has a considerable role in the development of a society, it is regarded as an environmentally destructive. Source reduction is the highest goal in the waste management hierarchy and is in priority. It also has economic benefits by reducing costs associated wi...
